NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
Whether you are looking for effective tools to help your child with (gasp!) homework or gaining some understanding on how to get them more interested in and enthusiastic for learning–we recommend you start with:
Teaching: A New Approach
A simple, easy-to-read introduction to Hubbard’s educational philosophy, including the role affinity, reality and communication play in understanding, basic educational principles, comments on teaching reading and research, and more.
Childhood & Children
A collection of essays introducing the most important principles an educator should know for success with children, including topics such as self-determinism, control, discipline, contribution, games and more.
Homeschool Parent
(K-4 Children)
Beginning Level Reading & Phonics Program
The Applied Scholastics Phonics and Reading Program applies Mr. Hubbard’s data on gradients, mass and the defining of symbols, key words and reading words. By doing this, students will learn to read faster and with more certainty. Teachers, tutors and parents can easily use the program to teach students to read or even remediate someone’s literacy.
The program is easy to keep orderly and on track since all the steps are included in the teacher’s manual and each student has a workbook. This helps ensure that steps are not omitted.
