HELP US MAKE A
DIFFERENCE

Our letter to you. We INVITE you to join us!

As our name implies, the Applied Scholastics Educator Training Institute at Spanish Lake has as its primary purpose the training of educators.  These educators come to us from all over the globe in search of workable teaching tools that will enable them to produce students who are not just academically sound, but who can be transformed into successful, life-long learners that can thrive and effect positive change in their communities.

They come to Spanish Lake seeking the magic that is Study Technology.  Through their time at our training facility, and throughout their courses of study, educators are continually astonished with how simple, yet powerful, these tools are as they discover how these tools apply to and solve the classroom problems they have encountered and been plagued with for years.

As it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a village to train the teachers. Our facility, along with our dedicated staff, comprise that village. Each staff member, dedicated to their respective areas and duties, works hand-in-hand to ensure that each and every trainee that comes through our doors is properly serviced, their stay at our campus is comfortable and pleasant and most importantly, that they leave with the certainty in their newfound knowledge and skills to go back to their area and create real and lasting change in their community.  We’re very good at what we do. The Spanish Lake training campus is a special place, unlike any other educational facility, as it is the emanation point for Study Tech training on the planet. It was Mr. Hubbard’s intention that this educator training campus be established and this facility, along with the services we provide and the wonderful trainees that we encounter, is a tremendous source of pride for all of those who work here.  By training educators in Study Tech at Spanish Lake, our staff are in fact helping to educate and shape the youth of today, enabling them to become the capable, confident and literate leaders of tomorrow.   The employment opportunities at the campus are as diverse as the people we train. We are expanding our team - we have so many more educators still to train - and we want many more dedicated individuals who share a passion for helping. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another job that is as far-reaching and personally gratifying as changing people’s lives with Study Tech and knowing how many hundreds more lives they will in turn transform. There is much work to be done, the opportunity is yours as we welcome you into our “village" with open arms.

In a letter from L. Ron Hubbard to Applied Scholastics in April 1976 he wrote:

"It is of vital importance, as you are aware, that the quality of education be revitalized and improved.

As Man is as able as he can learn and know, it is urgent that a workable learning technology is available to him.

I therefore have extended to Applied Scholastics Inc. and its subordinate organizations the fruit of my research and goodwill in the form of authorization to use those of my copyrighted materials, trade marks and names, and patents which I have designated for use in the field of education.

My support in this manner will remain so long as, in my estimation, Applied Scholastics, Inc. and its subordinate organizations make proper use of these rights and ensure technical excellence."

Our mission at Applied Scholastics Spanish Lake is to revitalize and improve the quality of education by training educators of every stripe, and from every corner of the globe, in the workable learning technology that is Study Technology.

You could say our unofficial motto is: "Train the teacher, save the world."

READ SOME OF OUR STAFF SUCCESSES

"Whether tutoring a 9-year-old or a college senior, training teachers in Study Technology, or presenting the stellar results of Study Technology to Ministers of Education, the results obtainable through delivery of standard Study Technology resonate with all publics reached. As staff members of Applied Scholastics, that is what we do.

It is a real joy to watch them when their "light bulb turns on" regarding the efficacy and power of Study Technology."

Craig Burton

CFO

"It’s been my good fortune to have worked with Applied Scholastics at the Spanish Lake campus for eight years.  Our purpose has given meaning to my life; as we work to eradicate illiteracy in the world.  It’s a mile-high goal but one we need to aim for in an imperfect modern world.

I really enjoy working directly with the people we serve and as an advanced trained Course Instructor, I get to train others in the full use of Mr. Hubbard’s Study Technology and can train and certify other Instructors.  I’m also privileged to work in our Learning Center where I tutor people one-on-one in Math and Reading.  I’ve been able to work with students from age eight to sixty-eight and it’s so rewarding to see that light go on when the student “gets it”.

The staff here are the best people I’ve ever worked with.  I’m looking forward to having more good people here working with us – I get to help them with their staff training!"

Alan Herriman

Course Instructor/Tutor

"Working for Applied Scholastics is like waking up to a brand new world every day!  I know what I do matters, I know I am improving lives and improving conditions for people all over the world.  Making their world brighter, happier and a whole lot better with Study Technology.  What we do at Applied Scholastics is open the doors of opportunity to individuals, communities and even entire countries through literacy when people are introduced to the power of Study Technology! This is the best game in the world and is 100% effective regardless of the socio-economic limitations, language or location."
