Applied Scholastics International is holding our annual international conference at Spanish Lake from

August 1-3, 2025. 

 

In attendance will be representatives from the Applied Scholastics network of organizations, educators trained on study technology as well as educators and community leaders interested in starting study tech activities in their communities.

Applied Scholastics International is holding our annual international conference at Spanish Lake from August 1-3, 2025. 

 

In attendance will be representatives from the Applied Scholastics network of organizations, educators trained on study technology as well as educators and community leaders interested in starting study tech activities in their communities.

The purpose of Applied Scholastics International and its organizations was stated by L. Ron Hubbard:

“Our intent is not to just salvage a few students. Our intent is to reverse this whole decay.”

 

The conference agenda will encompass:

  • Briefings on the education scene in the US and worldwide and how Applied Scholastics groups are impacting it

  • Accomplishments and expansion news

  • A strong emphasis on recruitment, hatting and establishment so that our organizations are expanding to meet the need for our programs

  • Hatting on help and dissemination

  • Awards Banquet to acknowledge production and expansion

  • One-on-one consultations with international executives to assist you and your organization

  • When is the conference?
    The conference will be held from the morning of Friday, August 1, 2025 through Sunday, August 3, 2025.
  • Where is the conference being held?
    The conference is being held at the international Applied Scholastics Educator Training Institute in Spanish Lake, Missouri. The facility is located on a beautiful 100-acre campus overlooking the Mississippi River near the city of Saint, Louis. The address of the campus is: 11755 Riverview Drive St. Louis, MO 63138 USA
  • When should I arrive/depart?
    You should plan to arrive in St. Louis (airport code STL) no later than Thursday, July 31 and make your departure plans for late Sunday evening, August 3, or Monday, August 4. If you are traveling a great distance from outside the United States, we encourage you to plan your arrival for early Thursday morning so that you are rested for the start of the conference on Friday morning. Please be mindful of airline delays and cancellations and make your plans accordingly – the earlier the better.   • What is the cost of attending the convention and how do I pay?

    The conference fee includes all conference seminars, activities, conference materials and all meals/snacks at the Applied Scholastics Spanish Lake campus, as well as attendance to the Awards Banquet on Saturday night.

For any international conference guest staying at the APS Spanish Lake campus, we will provide transport to and from the airport for arrival and departure flights.   • Where will I eat?
    Your conference fee includes all meals and snacks during your stay at Spanish Lake, as well as the Awards Banquet dinner. Applied Scholastics has a large dining hall to accommodate all our guests at meal time. We work hard to accommodate all special food needs and allergies; non-dairy, gluten-free and vegetarian options are available at all meals. If you have any special dietary needs or allergies, please notify us by email at [email protected] In addition to regular meals in the dining hall, our Canteen is stocked with many specialty snacks and beverages that you may have a craving for 24 hours a day.
  • What if I have a special request?
    Any special meal, accommodation, or transportation requests should be sent in writing to [email protected]. One of our staff will be in touch with you directly about your request.
  • Is transportation provided?
    Convention attendees staying at the Sheraton Westport Hotel Those attending from the US should arrange a rental car for transport between the hotel and the APS campus each day. International Convention Attendees staying on campus For international guests staying on the APS campus, transportation upon arrival to and departure from Saint Louis airport (airport code STL) to the Applied Scholastics Spanish Lake campus is provided. If international guests choose to stay at the hotel, they should also arrange to rent a car for daily transportation needs.
  • What if I need a visa letter of invitation?
    Many foreign travelers require a visa to enter the US to attend the conference and Applied Scholastics is happy to write you a letter of invitation to enter the US and participate in the conference. Please email [email protected] with your visa letter request and include your full name (as it appears on your passport), passport number, and give some basic details about who you are, who you work for and what your post is. We will send you the invitation letter by return email.
  • What do I bring with me to the convention?
    We recommend that along with your basic personal needs, toiletries and clothing, you bring the following items with you: Laptop/tablet Power charge cords for all of your devices Power adapters (for non-US guests) Bug spray (if you anticipate spending prolonged time outside in the evenings)
  • What is the dress code?
    Please wear comfortable clothing that is business casual. This conference will be photographed as well as video taken throughout and group photos for all attendees should be anticipated. Keep in mind that summer in St. Louis tends to be hot and humid outside with cold air conditioning inside the building, thus we recommend you bring a light sweater or jacket. The recommended dress for the Awards Banquet is semi-formal or business attire. Men are encouraged to wear a suit jacket and tie.
  • What is the weather like in Saint Louis?
    Summer in St. Louis is hot and humid outside with cold air conditioning inside the building. Heavy rain for short or long periods of time in July and August is also very common.
